Local Pie, LLC (doing business as The Doughroom) (“The Doughroom,” “we,” “us”) operates thedoughroom.com and the restaurant at 3409 Overland Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90034. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website, our online ordering, gift cards, our marketing emails, our phone line, and our social media pages.

Information we collect

  • You give us: name, email address, phone number, delivery address, order details and preferences, payment card information (collected and processed by Toast — we never see your full card number), gift-card details, messages you send us, catering and fundraising request details, job applications, survey or review responses.
  • Collected automatically: device and browser type, IP address and approximate location, pages viewed, links clicked (including clicks to our online ordering), referring site, cookie and pixel identifiers, and session activity. See Cookies and similar technologies below.
  • From others: order and payment information from Toast; delivery and marketplace order details from third-party platforms you use to order from us (DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, ezCater); social media interactions; advertising and analytics partners (Google, Meta, TikTok) in the form of aggregated or pseudonymous measurements.

How we use it

To take, prepare and deliver your orders; run gift cards; respond to you; send marketing you have asked for; show you ads for our restaurant on other sites and measure them (with your consent — see Your Privacy Choices); improve the website, menu and service; keep records for tax, accounting and legal purposes; protect against fraud and misuse; and comply with law.

How we share it

  • Service providers that act on our behalf: Squarespace (website hosting and forms), Toast (point of sale, online ordering, gift cards, email and text marketing tools), Google (Analytics and Ads), Meta and TikTok (advertising and measurement), and ezCater (catering orders placed through its marketplace). They may use your information only to provide their services to us, except as described under advertising partners below.
  • Advertising partners: when you allow advertising cookies, Google, Meta and TikTok receive identifiers and activity from this site to show you our ads elsewhere and measure results. Under California law this is “sharing” (and may be “selling”); you can opt out at any time on our Your Privacy Choices page.
  • Marketplaces and delivery platforms when you order through them (their privacy policies apply).
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, to protect our rights, customers or staff, or in connection with a sale, merger or financing of the business.

We do not sell personal information for money.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use first-party cookies for site function and analytics (Squarespace, and Google Analytics with advertising signals off by default). Advertising cookies and pixels (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok) are set only after you choose Accept on our cookie banner and are never set when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. You can change your choice at Your Privacy Choices or in your browser settings.

Global Privacy Control: we honor GPC signals as an opt-out of sale and sharing for the browser that sends them. Do Not Track: there is no industry standard for DNT, so we do not respond to DNT signals; GPC is the signal we act on.

Our online ordering and gift-card pages are operated by Toast on Toast’s domains; Toast’s own privacy statement and “Your Privacy Choices” link govern cookies set there.

Text messages and calls

We do not currently run a marketing text program. If we launch one it will be opt-in only and described in our SMS Terms, and mobile numbers and opt-in data will never be shared with third parties for their marketing. Calls to (424) 258-6194 are answered by our staff.

How long we keep it

Order and payment records as long as needed for tax, accounting and dispute purposes (generally 7 years); marketing contact details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them; website analytics in aggregated form; privacy-request records for at least 24 months.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards. Payment card data is handled by Toast under PCI DSS; we do not store card numbers.

California Shine the Light

California residents may request, once per calendar year, a list of the third parties to whom we disclosed personal information for their own direct marketing purposes in the prior year. Changes to this policy

We post changes here and update the effective date. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will post a notice on this site before it takes effect.

California Privacy Notice (CCPA/CPRA)

This notice supplements the policy above for California residents. We provide it as a best practice whether or not the CCPA’s thresholds apply to our business.

Categories of personal information collected in the past 12 months: identifiers (name, email, phone, address, IP address, device IDs); customer records (order history, payment token via Toast); commercial information (purchases, gift cards); internet activity (pages viewed, clicks, cookie and pixel data); geolocation (approximate, from IP or delivery address); professional information (job applications); inferences (for example favorite items, for recommendations).

Sources: you, your devices, Toast, marketplaces, advertising and analytics partners. Business purposes: listed under How we use it. Shared for cross-context behavioral advertising: identifiers and internet activity with Google, Meta and TikTok, only with your consent; opt out at Your Privacy Choices. Sold for money: none. Sensitive personal information: we do not collect sensitive personal information except payment data processed by Toast, and we do not use it to infer characteristics.

Your rights: to know and access the personal information we hold about you; to delete it; to correct it; to opt out of sale and sharing; to limit use of sensitive personal information (not applicable — we do not use it beyond processing payments); and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

How to exercise them: use Your Privacy Choices, email doughroom@gmail.com, or call (424) 258-6194 and ask for a privacy request. We verify requests by matching the details you give us against our records (for example your email and a recent order); an authorized agent may submit a request with your signed permission. We respond within 45 days (extendable by 45 days with notice). Opt-out requests are not verified unless we suspect fraud. If we deny a request you may appeal by replying to our decision email.
